DYRHS Lip Dub

Talk about impressive!

John Terrio Jr. and hundreds of other DYRHS students are putting together a music video called a “lip dub” where the students lipsync to a song while making a video of their school and all the students. And it’s all in one take! If you know anything about filming, you’ll know that that is very difficult and takes lots of organization and practice!

AMAZING job everyone! We’ll post the final version when it is available.

May 19, 2011

Thank you, Yarmouth, for supporting Education!

Thank you for saying yes to funding our amazing DY Schools!

Thank you parents for coming out in greater numbers to vote!

Thank you to so many volunteers who worked so hard to educate our citizens about our great schools, the facts about DY school budgets, and the importance of approving the override.

The passing of this override will allow our schools to continue their excellent work. It will prevent more cuts.

Thank you and congratulations to our newest school committee members. It is a difficult job and we thank you and all the other school committee members for your service. We wish you all the best as you work to ensure the best education for our children, the future of our community.

Now, let’s get those librarians back!

We will turn the tide of school choice! DY Schools WILL be THE CHOICE in school choice here on Cape Cod!

It started last night when Yarmouth said YES to Education!

Thank you!

Yarmouth: Vote Tues May 17th 2011

May 16, 2011

Please remember to vote!

Yarmouth Election Day is Tues May17th 2011.
Polling centers are open from 7am – 8pm.

Please make sure ALL adults in your household vote!

If only one parent votes in every household, that could be hundreds of votes that we forfeit!  Remind your friends, neighbors, parents, etc!

Remember, the override only lost by ONLY 100 votes last year. Let’s win it this year so we won’t have additional cuts to education.

And if you would like some facts to help you understand why there is a need for an override this year, please take a look at the Fact Sheets put together by DYSOS group with the assistance from the DYRSD Administration and Town Officials:
DY Fact Sheet 1
DY Fact Sheet 2

Here is a link to the 2011 Ballot in Yarmouth so you can be familiar with all the candidates and questions up for a vote.

Thank you for voting!

The Most Important Way to Support Our Schools

Your Vote Is So Important – Really!

If you want to keep the excellent education and extracurricular programs alive and well, it’s so important that you vote!

Last year the school override failed by only 100 votes!

This year we have another critical override that must get passed or else there will be further cuts into the great programs and services of our schools.

Don’t assume that your vote doesn’t count for much! On the contrary, your vote is massively important! If everyone realizes this and takes action, we will easily win the override for the sake of our schools which produces the future of our community.

Yarmouth Town Meeting 2011 Tonight April 4th

April 4, 2011

Yarmouth Town Meeting tonight at Mattacheese middle school.
6:30pm.

There will be childcare if you need it.

If you can arrive early (6:15 or so) that is best so you can have time to park and get registered.

Also important:  to stay until the end even if your favorite issue has already been voted on because it can always be brought up again for another vote.

If you haven’t been before, Town Meeting is actually fun. You get to meet many of your Yarmouth neighbors and friends and very importantly you get to take part in shaping the future of our town.

Our schools always need the support of the parents at this meeting and this year is no different.
Hope everyone can make it.

Please remind your network of Yarmouth friends about this important meeting.
